Court issues bench warrant for businessman over alleged trespass |
An Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of a businessman over an alleged trespass after he failed to appear before the court.Ussha Harun, 49, the accused person, failed to attend court despite being served with a criminal summons. The prosecution prayed the court to issue a bench warrant, stating that Harun had been served with a criminal summons but failed to honour it and had also not been cooperating with the Police. The court granted the prosecution’s request and adjourned the case to March 12, 2026. Mr Davies Essuman, the complainant, is a retired military officer, a resident of Gbawe and a power of attorney holder for Natalie Narki Nettey Marbell. Harun, the accused person, is a building contractor and a resident of Spintex, both in the Greater Accra Region. Prosecution said in 1995, Marbell acquired 0.290 acres of land at Adjiringanor in the Greater Accra Region and obtained a land title certificate.
