The product is well worth the price! sungiantencyclopaedia@africaaboard.com

This software project was created, bearing in mind that very special reader and audience which is you. We wanted you to read about Nigeria and its African past from the perspective of Africans who are, very importantly, as much at home anywhere in vast Africa, as in other parts of the world where Africans live amongst European, Arabic and Asian peoples. And we needed to tell the Nigerian story from a national perspective, for the sake of the future.

Most important, the story of Nigeria is the history of the entire West Africa, give or take a few vagaries. It is in fact the story of all the peoples of Africa, because there have been historical migrations over centuries to the Nigerian area. It is also the story of surprising cultural revelations. The culture all over vast Africa is very homogeneous, give or take a little.

The Lagos Business district is fcentred on Victoria Island,. an upmarket surburb ringed by the Atlantic. Activity gradually ebbed out of a congested central business district in downtown Lagos, once Nigeria's showcase capital, prior to the move to Abuja the new Federal capital now in the heartland of the nation.

Lagos is today still the centre of commerce, closely followed by Kano and Kaduna in the north. . Industries have however tumbled in the 3 decades since the 1980s, due to growing pains and to falling crude oil prices and by the world.recession. Nigeria contin-ues to spend vast sums on importing basics.
