Ghana earns $355.5m from crude lifts in first half of 2026
Ghana earned $355.5 million from crude oil lifts in the first half of 2026, representing a 63 per cent increase over the same period in 2025.
The Bank of Ghana (BoG) disclosed the figures in its latest report, noting that the revenue came from five lifts, compared to three in the first half of 2025.
The report showed that the earnings were derived from the Jubilee 85th, 86th and 87th lifts, the SGN 19th lifting and the TEN 25th lifting.
In 2025, Ghana earned $218.6 million from the Jubilee 81st and 82nd lifts and the SGN 17th lifting.
The Jubilee Field remained the largest contributor, accounting for three of the five lifts during the period.
The report also indicated that $197.1 million was transferred to the Ghana Petroleum Funds in the first six months of 2026.
Out of this amount, $138.0 million went to the Ghana Stabilisation Fund, while $59.1 million was paid into the Ghana Heritage Fund.
This was significantly higher than the $63.5 million allocated to the two funds in the same period of 2025.
The BoG said the publication was to keep the public informed about Ghana’s oil revenues and how they are managed under the Petroleum Revenue Management Act.
